HOW JOE AND BEAUDEN SHARE A QUIRKY HISTORY WITH MULLINGAR RFC
November 16, 2018

It’s been well documented down through the years of Mullingar Rugby Clubs very close association and long standing friendship with IrishRugby Head Coach Joe Schmidt who arrived as a player/coach along with his lovely wife Kellie to our Club in 1991, the rest as they say, is history, a lesser known fact about our Club and quite apt to point out on the eve of the much anticipated meeting of the Worlds number 1 & 2 ranked sides at the Aviva Stadium is our association with World player of the Year All Blacks Beauden Barrett.
As a Club we take great pride in our Youths and Minis Boys and Girls who attend every weekend is such large numbers and not generally known amongst our fledgling superstars is that the aforementioned Beauden played a season for our U10s back in season 2000/01, attached below is his very own Mullingar Rugby Club Certificate Of Competence, and we can say (tongue in cheek, mind you) we set him on his path to glory
Tomorrow is MORE than just an international for all our Club supporters heading to the Aviva or watching at home, as a not insignificant part of our recent Club history is very well represented. Best wishes to both Joe AND Beauden tomorrow evening, but we’re all part of the #TeamOfUs in Green, of course #SHOULDERTOSHOULDER
