Mullingar Rugby Club Launches Centenary Season

Mullingar Rugby Club is proud to officially launch its centenary season, marking 100 years since its founding in 1925. As one of the Midlands' most established clubs, the 2024-2025 season is set to be a momentous year, celebrating a century of rugby.

Club President Ciaran Murtagh shared his pride: "The club has never been bigger or more successful. We’ve come a long way in 100 years, and today we’re proud of a club that embraces every member of our community. The strength of our men's and women’s teams showcases the inclusivity and positivity that defines Mullingar Rugby Club."

Vice President Denis McDermott echoed the excitement surrounding the centenary: "We’ve been talking about this milestone for years, and it’s finally here. This drone shot marks the beginning of our celebrations. Later this year, we’ll be launching a book documenting our rich history and looking to the future. We’re also in the middle of creating a movie, which is hard work but very exciting. To top it off, we’ll be celebrating with a grand ball on the new bank holiday in February, which is almost sold out!"

With these celebrations already generating buzz, Mullingar Rugby Club looks forward to what promises to be the most exciting and successful season in its history.
