Mullingar Under 12s play 1/2 time exhibition game at U20 Ireland v France 6 Nations

It was a cold night in a floodlit Dubarry Park as Mullingar RFC U12s took to the pitch to take on Ballinasloe in this half time exhibition game.  The players were very excited with the anticipation of playing in front of a crowd of over 4000 spectators. Mullingar got off to a great start and kept Ballinalsoe pinned back for most of the game with only an odd sortie into the Mullingar half by their opponents. However both sides failed in their endeavours to cross their respective  try lines with the game finishing 0 - 0.

It was a thrilling night for the players with the Ireland U20s showing them what to aim for. Where next for this squad ? Well it's off to the RDS on Friday 20th of February to again take to the pitch in another 1/2 time exhibition game when Leinster take on Zebre with a crowd expected to be a lot more than 4000.
