U16 Girls Premier Division Winners 2024!

In a thrilling showdown for the Girls U16 Rugby Premier Division Leinster League Final, Mullingar and Gorey clashed in a battle of skill and determination. Mullingar's forwards dominated the upfront battle, displaying strength in the scrums and lineouts. Their relentless pressure created space for the backs, who displayed great handling and offloading skills, keeping the ball alive and stretching Gorey's defence

Throughout the game, Mullingar's cohesive teamwork and individual brilliance shone brightly, allowing them to build momentum and capitalise on scoring chances. In the face of a strong opposition, Gorey demonstrated resilience and tenacity, mounting their own offensive drives and testing Mullingar's defence.

Despite the final scoreline of 42-10 in favor of Mullingar, the match was closer than numbers might suggest, with both teams showcasing their skills and grit until the final whistle. It was a testament to the competitive spirit and talent of both teams, making for an exciting and memorable final. A wonderful achievement from this fantastic group of young women. 

Special thanks goes to all the supporters who cheered on the girls, the encouragement and enthusiasm was great to see. We hope to see you all again at the Leinster Cup Final in Donneybrook in 2 weeks where Mullingar will be playing for the double.
