MULLINGAR RFC ANNOUNCE NEW COACHING TEAM

Mullingar RFC are delighted to announce the appointment of their comprehensive coaching team for 2015/2016.

At senior men’s level former Mullingar Youth, Michael Walls returns having played professionally with Coventry to join Dermot Dunne who was coaching the first team last season. Dermot recently spent some time with London Irish where he got to observe their coaches in action and discuss all things rugby with Tom Coventry, Nick Kennedy & Declan Danaher.

Michael and Dermot will be joined by former player Kevin O’Brien who will coach the second team having been coaching with the youth teams in recent seasons.

Women’s team head coach Dave Farrelly will be joined by former UL Bohs player Orla Smith and former Swords RFC coach, Richard Cowman. Orla works as a PE teacher in the renowned rugby development centre of Willow Park School in Blackrock while Richard is an experience coach who will be a fantastic addition to the coaching team.

Furthermore, as Mullingar RFC continue to focus on developing quality age-grade players to represent the Midlands, Leinster, Ireland and the senior ranks of the Club; the return of former first team coach Neal Culliton will be invaluable.

Training continues Tuesday, August 4^th & Friday, August 7^th in Next Generation Speed before returning to Shay Murtagh Park on Tuesday, August 11^th (Senior Men @ 7.30pm) and Wednesday, August 12^th (Senior Women @ 7.30pm).
